NuContext Creative has hired Laura Feldman as director of creative services. Feldman returns to L.A. from DDB Worldwide and Droga5 in New York City. In her new post, Feldman will spearhead the creative supervision and project management of NuContext Creative’s on-air and digital marketing teams.

“Laura Feldman’s track record speaks for itself, but her dynamic personality and enthusiasm for creating and managing world-class creative content is what really sets her apart,” said Angela Guice, founder/executive producer of NuContext. “Her experience leading teams on both the agency and network sides of the business, and marketing brands through many different mediums, is a huge added value for our agency and our clients.”

“Having worked with NuContext on the network side for years, there was no one else that I would rather be in the trenches with than Angela and her amazing team,” Feldman said.

Most recently, Feldman had been a producer with DDB Worldwide, NYC, where she worked with brands, overseeing the development and production of interactive projects including websites, e-commerce sites, mobile sites and social apps.

Vicon Introduces Mobile Mocap at SIGGRAPH

1
Motion capture systems developer Vicon is previewing a futuristic new “Mobile Mocap” technology at SIGGRAPH 2011 in Vancouver. Moving mocap out of the lab and into the field, Vicon's Mobile Mocap system taps several new technologies, many years in the making. At the heart of Mobile Mocap is a very small lipstick-sized camera that enables less obtrusive, more accurate facial animation data. The new cameras capture 720p (1280X720) footage at 60 frames per second. In addition, a powerful processing unit synchronizes, stores, and wirelessly transmits the data, all in a tiny wearable design.
