2G Digital announced current COO Stephen Buchsbaum has been appointed CEO and will serve as a member of the company’s board of directors.

Buchsbaum, who has been leading 2G Digital since last November, has supervised strategic planning and implemented changes that have increased revenues steadily. He has also spearheaded strategic expansion, adding staff and capabilities at the company’s Burbank headquarters, and forging partnerships that have extended its reach to New York and London.

“Stephen has proven to be a dynamic leader and we are pleased to announce his appointment as CEO,” said John Wilson, chairman of the board, 2G Digital. “Under his guidance, 2G has improved quality while simultaneously expanding our global reach. We look forward to working with him as a new member of our board of directors.”

“We’ve made a lot of progress and will continue to widen the scope of our customer outreach and technical capabilities,” said Buchsbaum.

Prior to joining 2G Digital, Buchsbaum served as a production and postproduction consultant and managing partner at Traveling Light Partners, an independent film and television production company. Previously, he served for six years as president of The Post Group and CEO of its affiliates, Lighting Media and iO Film. During his tenure, The Post Group became the first independent post house to implement a complete file-based workflow for production and distribution. His background also includes service as president of Video Research Corporation and vice president general manager of All Post.
