HPA Opens Registration for the 2016 Tech Retreat

LR-HPA_TR_Logo 2014-emailLR-HPA_TR_Logo 2014The Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) has opened registration for its 2016 Tech Retreat, scheduled for Feb. 15-19 at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells, near Palm Springs, Calif.

Now in its 22nd year, the retreat attracts engineers, artists and business leaders, who gather in the desert over the course of a week to confer on the trends and technologies of the future, while tackling the issues of the present. The event is a conference and a collaborative think tank that offers attendees the chance for some high-level networking.

This year the demo room is transformed into the “innovation zone,” highlighting the latest in workflow demonstrations.

“We attract a far ranging and fascinating array of submissions, and we receive more every year,” said programming chair Mark Schubin. “As ever, it will be a challenge to choose among what has been submitted, as the topics are incredibly compelling and some of them are previously unseen. It’s difficult to count the many new technologies that have made their first appearance at the Tech Retreat, and this year will be no different.”

“If you have ever been to the Tech Retreat, then you know,” said Leon Silverman, president of HPA. “This is the one event you must attend to stay connected to the industry’s most important topics and people. If you have not attended, then you need to know there is nothing like it – sun up to sun down full tech immersion and connection to the most important topics and people in the industry.”
