HPA Tech Retreat U.K. Calls for Proposals

-

The Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) is calling for proposals for presentations at the inaugural HPA Tech Retreat U.K., scheduled for July 13-14 at the Heythrop Park Resort in Oxfordshire.

The event, presented in association with SMPTE, aims to bring together professionals engaged in the many disciplines supporting the creation, management and dissemination of content.

“We’re building on the history and value of the HPA Tech Retreat, which has been an important event in the U.S. for over 20 years,” said Richard Welsh, co-chair of the event. “Like its U.S. counterpart, the HPA Tech Retreat U.K. will feature seminars, a SuperSession, as well as a curated Innovation Zone demonstrating the latest technology developments. Of course there will be a full complement of social and networking events in the tradition of HPA. Whilst having a familiar feel for HPA regulars, this event will also have its own U.K. flare and identity and will highlight the many U.K.-Hollywood productions currently underway using the latest technologies and techniques.”

The HPA is looking for presentations for the main program, as well as breakfast roundtables. Topics may include anything related to moving images and sound.
