Kerner Studios will present “The 3D Advertising Summit” at the company’s San Rafael, Calif. headquarters on May 13. This free, one-day event will feature a diverse group of industry experts who specialize in all aspects of 3D production.
“We at Kerner wish to present to members of this industry an opportunity to increase their knowledge of the 3D landscape from an advertiser’s point of view, and to learn the jargon and techniques behind 3D production,” said Tim Partridge, president, The Kerner Entertainment Group. “We have assembled an outstanding group of industry experts in the field to help guide attendees from the planning of their 3D projects, through the shooting, postproduction and finishing stages as well.”
Presenters include John Nicolard, head of digital production, Fotokem; Grant Anderson, stereographer/instructor, Sony 3D Technology Center; Dave Gregory, independent filmmaker and stereographer; Alex Lindsey, formerly with Lucasfilm and ILM, founder, dvGarage, Pixel Corps and Rebel Unit Media; Michael Ching, owner/producer/casting director of Grantave Productions and Casting; Keith Vidger, sales support engineer, acquisition systems, Sony Electronics; Anthony Shafer, stereoscopic supervisor and stereographer, StereoBox, and Tony McIlwain, VP sales, western region, ScreenVision.
The event will feature a full day of presentations and hands-on opportunities, providing attendees with the opportunity to learn the basics about the production of commercials in 3D.
