TODD-SOUNDELUX announced the addition of re-recording mixer Kevin O’Connell. O’Connell will combine his role as re-recording mixer with a senior-level creative position, providing oversight to feature film business development, client services, creative talent and strategic initiatives.

“Bringing a talent of Kevin O’Connell’s caliber to our company is indicative of our strong commitment to the undisputed creative leadership in the independent postproduction sound services business,” said David F. Alfonso, owner of TODD-SOUNDELUX. “Further, we are delighted to be able to give the members of our creative team a strong voice as part of our group.”

“There is a renewed sense of commitment throughout the TODD-SOUNDELUX community that is infectious and I feel honored to be a part of it,” O’Connell said. “I very much look forward to mixing at Todd-AO and supporting the company’s strategic vision as part of its creative leadership team.”

With a career spanning four decades, O’Connell’s work has been recognized with 20 Academy Award nominations. O’Connell’s extensive list of mixing credits includes iconic titles such as Transformers, Spider-Man, Pearl Harbor, Twister, Days of Thunder, and Top Gun.  O’Connell, who recently completed a term as the representative of the Academy’s sound branch to its board of governors, recently completed work on 47 Ronin for director Carl Rinsch and Last Vegas for director Jon Turteltaub.
