Cut+Run announced that editor Lucas Eskin has joined the company. His first project at Cut+Run is a spot for the Newport Beach Film Festival via agency RPA and directed by Tom Routson of TOOL.
“For many years I’ve admired the work and the very special culture of Cut+Run,” said Eskin. “To be surrounded by the incredible talent – the editors, producers and staff – I can do what I love in the best environment possible.”
Lucas, a Santa Monica native, started at Mad River Post, ultimately assuming a leadership role before joining Beast (then Filmcore) as senior editor in 2009.
He has worked on such projects as the Cannes Lion and Clio Award-winning “Apple Vs. PC” campaign for TBWA\Chiat\Day, as well as Nike spots for Wieden & Kennedy, and BBDO‘s VISA “Olympics Extreme” featuring Gracie Gold and directed by Marcus Walter. He’s also known for the “Boom De Yada” spot for Discovery Channel via 72andSunny, “CA Lottery” directed by Janusz Kaminski for agency David&Goliath and GM “Robot” directed by Phil Joanou.
