Optimus announced the addition of Morgan James as animation director. Working with Optimus creative director Mike Ciacciarelli, James will serve as a technical and creative leader for Optimus, particularly in the area of CG animation.

“We were impressed by Morgan’s ability to combine technical expertise with artistic creativity, and we knew he’d be a great fit for the team,” said Ciacciarelli. “He is a sincere, motivated, creatively-driven person who is eager to deliver outstanding results to our clients. We are very excited to mix his knowledge and expertise into our group as we strive continually to exceed our clients’ expectations and raise awareness of our capabilities.”

Morgan comes to Optimus after spending several years freelancing in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. He brings a wealth of organizational and cultural knowledge from working at design powerhouses such as Buck, Blind, Digital Kitchen and Hornet. Working with those companies, he helped bring to life campaigns for Microsoft, McDonald’s, Mountain Dew, Nike and more as an animation and design leader.

“Optimus has a team-focused environment with a lot of opportunity for growth, and people love to come to work every day,” commented James. “My colleagues here are hungry to get to the next level and passionate about what they do. I’m excited to bring my animation experience to the team and lead us in doing cutting-edge design for our clients.”

“We’re thrilled about adding Morgan to our design team,” commented Optimus president Tom Duff. “Morgan brings a level of creative excellence and experience that is going to continue to push Optimus to the next level. These are exciting times for us and our clients.”
