Joel Brand has been named director of video post operations at SpotGenie, a provider of digital media services to the advertising, entertainment and broadcast industries.
In his new post, Brand will head a team responsible for assisting SpotGenie clients with the preparation of their spots for air, including video transcoding, closed captioning, slating, editorial, tagging and quality control. He will report directly to company president/CEO Wayne Dykes.
Brand comes to SpotGenie from a 10-year stint at Outback Editorial, (Atlanta, Ga.) where he was, most recently, owner/president and creative postproduction editor. “I have known and respected Joel for years,” said Dykes. “He is an experienced leader and problem solver with extensive technical and management skills. The breadth of his industry knowledge, work ethic and editing skills have been recognized nationwide. We know he will make a significant contribution to our continued growth.”
“Over the years, I’ve watched this company grow, embracing new technology and always providing exceptional customer service,” said Brand. “As an editor, I’ve had many of my clients rave about their exceptional experiences with SpotGenie so I am thrilled to be part of the SpotGenie family.”
