Stardust has hired Shannon Lords as executive producer in L.A. Lords joins Stardust co-owner and managing director Dexton Deboree and co-owner and director Seth Epstein in the Santa Monica office, overseeing the day-to-day management of the company’s projects and its growing roster of live-action directors.

“Stardust’s entire focus this year has been on A-list creative,” explained Deboree. “We’ve been diligent in turning down the opportunities that weren’t a right match and still managed to stay far busier than our first year. Shannon represents the kind of A-list, world-class pedigree of people we want to work with and for. She comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience in live-action, while also understanding the 360-production landscape.”

Lords joins Stardust from her former position as EP and managing director of Morgan Spurlock’s Warpaint, a commercial and content company. Before Warpaint, Shannon was a Los Angeles- and New York-based producer and line producer, who worked on multi-million dollar projects with directors such as Bryan Singer, Barry Levinson, Spike Lee, Wim Wenders, Zack Snyder and Michael Bay. In addition, she has collaborated with such notable commercial directors as Noam Murro, Joe Pytka, Samual Bayer, Gerard De Thame and Steve Miller. She also specialized in foreign shoots, working in such locales as Vietnam, New Zealand, Argentina, Romania, Japan, Germany, Austria and Dubai. Over time, Shannon has collaborated with a broad range of clients including Apple, Chase Bank, Chrysler, Nike, Pepsi, Motorola and eBay.

“My background is mainly live-action, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to join a company that specializes not only in that, but also in design, animation and in-house postproduction,” said Lords. “When I met Seth and Dex, their clear dedication to creating inspired work immediately drew me in. I knew Stardust was a creative world I wanted to be a part of.”
