STEELE Studios, a creator and producer of visual content for films, commercials, television, broadcast, music videos and online media, has relocated its offices to Santa Monica, Calif.

STEELE’s move coincides with the company’s contributions to four recent projects. The STEELE Studios team performed 4K conform, online, color grading, beauty, compositing, titles, graphics, mastering and multiple conversions/deliverables for the Skechers “Relaxed Fit” 2013 campaign, for agency Siltanen and Partners in El Segundo, Calif. The collaboration of STEELE and Siltanen produced several spots featuring Joe Montana, Mark Cuban, Tommy Lasorda and Ronnie Lott.

Also for Siltanen and Partners, STEELE Studios’ Jerry Steele provided the voice-over narration for a second Skechers SuperBowl 2013 spot, entitled “Man Vs. Cheetah.”

STEELE Studios more recently provided the conform, online, visual effects, beauty work and additional color grading on Mariah Carey’s latest music video, entitled “Almost Home” – the title song to the Disney film Oz the Great and Powerful. The video, featuring scenes from Oz, was directed by David LaChapelle and produced by HSI Productions.

On the feature film side, STEELE Studios recently provided dailies, 2K conform, online, color grading, VFX, compositing, beauty/retouching, main and end titles, subtitles, pan and scan, dust busting, 5.1 audio laybacks and mastering for the feature film Border Run. The film, starring Sharon Stone and Billy Zane, was directed by Gabriela Tagliavini. Border Run tells the story of a female American reporter who searches for her missing brother against the backdrop of drugs, violence and human trafficking across the U.S./Mexican border.

In addition, STEELE recently provided complete 3D stereoscopic services for Conservation International (CI) and Sony for its international reel. STEELE’s work included Stereo transcoding, dailies, editing, color grading, conform/online, compositing, graphic design, S3D manipulation/convergence, S3D 2D to 3D conversion, S3D titles/graphics, rotoscoping, dirt removal, stereo 3D mastering, music composition/sound design with Confidence Head, multiple format mastering and deliverables.
