Following the recent addition of design director Claudia Chagüi, New York-based design studio HUSH announced that it has hired designers John Soat and David Lehman.

Soat began his creative career at Shopbop while simultaneously starting printmaking studio Animal Canon. There he designed posters for bands such as The Antlers, Yeasayer, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Built to Spill, and others while also cultivating his love for creating music. Soat then moved to San Francisco to work at design firm Character, collaborating on identity, branding, illustration, and interactive projects for brands like Nike, Jordan, Skullcandy and Amazon.

Lehman joins HUSH from the world of architecture, having worked in the commercial and retail realm where his design and production talents dovetailed with his love for the technological. He has collaborated with Alexander Gorlin architects for projects in Abu Dhabi and Dubai on their waterfront communities and worked with PBC+L architects to design the North Carolina Museum of Art’s 127,000 square foot addition. With display and fabrication firm Twoseven, Lehman also developed five consecutive national window campaigns for Chanel while refining the company’s design and production system.
