Multi-platform content developer, Modus Operandi has signed executive producer Mike Albert to lead the company’s growing Midwest presence. Albert brings over 25 years of agency experience to the new role.

“I’ve known Mike for many years and worked with him when he was on the client side of the business,”” Modus Operandi’s Steve Schofield explained. “Watching the return of the big three automakers has been amazing and we wanted to confirm our commitment to that part of the market with someone who lives and breathes that industry.”

Albert’s roots in advertising began at Leo Burnett where he cut his teeth on the Oldsmobile account. Albert then went to DMB&B where he moved from broadcast into integrated marketing and promotions, including live event productions for Cadillac and Pontiac. This was followed by successful tenures as senior producer at Yaffe and Co. and EP at Bozell Worldwide on the Chrysler Plymouth and Jeep dealer accounts. When Chevy consolidated its work with Campbell Ewald, Albert was hired as head of production for Campbell Ewald Retail, which would ultimately absorb the work being done by 77 different agencies for Chevrolet.

With an eye to theatrical innovation, Albert transitioned to consultancy and worked with Speedshape as EP of the 3D conversion of Robert Rodriguez’s Spy Kids 4 and the Weinstein Company’s current release Escape from Planet Earth. Following this two year consultancy, Albert was approached by longtime friend Steve “Scof” Schofield, co-founder of Modus Operandi, to join the expanding company.

“I couldn’t be more excited to work with Scof and the guys at Modus Operandi,” said Albert. “As some friends have said to me, Scof has a way of bringing good people together. I see that in the company and am thrilled to connect this unique group of strategic creatives to the automotive and agency world in my hometown and beyond.”
