Bill Lovell, head of digital and 3D development for ARRI Media, passed away unexpectedly last week at the age of 59.
Lovell was well known and well liked in the cinematography world. Lovell joined the Arrifilex Corporation in 1996. Since then, he has been a regular presenter at trade shows and conferences, championing the development of ARRI’s digital cameras – the D20, D21 and Alexa.
Prior to joining ARRI, Lovell served for over 20 years in various positions in the BBC’s Film Department.
He is survived by his wife and three children.
