Volt Studios announced that Pete Olson has been made partner of the Minneapolis-based post studio. Olson has been with VOLT for five years and contributed visual effects to projects of all genres.
“Pete has played an instrumental role in the development of Volt since he joined our team,” said Volt partner/COO Charlie Lach. “He’s helped expand our capabilities tremendously and has a truly unique skill set that spans artistry, technology, and strategy. It’s making official the contribution he plays every day.”
Olson began his career in audio before “being lured to a film set” where he fell in love with production, ultimately making his name in postproduction as a VFX Artist. He was encouraged to join Volt Studios by long-time friend and company partner/creative director Steve Medin.
“It’s been super-fulfilling to have watched him grow into this rock star, since becoming my assistant nearly 11 years ago,” said Medin.
