American Cinema Editors Fills Out Timeline for 72nd ACE Eddie Awards

ACEEddieAlthough the American Cinema Editors (ACE) had already set its date for the 72nd Annual ACE Eddie Awards for Saturday, Feb. 26, the group has now released the official timeline and eligibility for the awards recognizing outstanding editing in 13 categories of film and television.

Television entries must have been released between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, while film entries eligible must have been released between March 1 and Dec. 31. Submissions will open on November 1, 2021 and close on Dec. 13.

Three special honors will be handed out at the ACE Eddie Awards ceremony including two Career Achievement recipients presented to film editors of outstanding merit and the Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year honor presented to a filmmaker who exemplifies distinguished achievement in the art and business of film.  Honorary award recipients will be announced later this year.

Also announced that evening will be the winner of the Anne V. Coates Student Editing Competition.
