Victor Reyes checks in as the Composer of “The Night Manager”

Award–winning film and TV composer, Victor Reyes (Grand Piano, Buried, Red Lights) scores the British-American TV mini-series, The Night Manager, airing on AMC and BBC. The six-part series, released in April, is based on the novel by John Le Carre of the espionage drama. The screenplay is written by David Farr and Le Carre, produced by The Ink Factory and directed by award-winning director, Susan Bier. The Night Manager cast includes Tom Hiddleston, Olivia Coleman and Hugh Laurie and airs Tuesdays on AMC at 10 PM/9 PM central. The episodes can be streamed on demand from www.amc.com, on the AMC phone app, and from most cable providers. Soundtrack available on Silva Records.

For The Night Manager, Reyes joins a list of legendary composers who have scored John Le Carre novels-turned-to-screen, including Oscar winning and nominated composers; Jerry Goldsmith (Russia House), Alberto Iglesias (The Constant Gardner, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), Quincy Jones (The Deadly Affair) and Dave Grusin (The Little Drummer Girl).  Victor Reyes’ created a classical orchestral score that is meant to complement the drama and intrigue of the series.

Victor Reyes has established himself as a film & TV composer in both his native Spain and internationally. He has created music for filmmaker, Rodrigo Cortes‘ (Buried, Red Lights), as well as worked with Bernlinale Silver Bear winning director, Daniel Burman (Lost Embrace), Daniel Calpalsoro (Salto Al Vacio), and Christoffe Offenstein (Tell No One). Reyes has garnered numerous Goyanominations, (the Spanish equivalent of the Academy Award) and in 2014 he was named “Composer of the Year” by The International Film Music Critics Association.
