The K1 is an integrated platform for capturing aerial footage in 4K Ultra High-Definition and is easily configured for 2D or 3D shooting with several cameras, including the Red Epic, Arri Alexa, Phantom Flex4K, Canon C500, Sony F55 and F65, along with a broad range of lenses.
Light enough to be transported as excess baggage by a single person, the K1 can ship around the world with no export restrictions and its modular design allows operators to quickly switch between multiple cameras and lenses depending on shot requirements. It offers a variety of mounting options for use on helicopters, ground vehicles, watercraft and almost anything that moves.
“The market response to the K1 from both cinematographers and from aviation production companies has been huge,” said Alan Purwin, president of SHOTOVER and of parent company Helinet Aviation. “In the six months since launching it to the Hollywood community, the K1 has already been utilized for dozens of motion picture, broadcast and commercial productions throughout the world.”
The modular design of the K1 makes it upgradeable, allowing operators to use new professional cameras, lenses and accessories as they come to market.
Unlike most aerial cinematography systems, the K1 can be purchased outright, as opposed to being available for rental only. The system, is designed and manufactured in New Zealand.
