The British Academy of Film and Television Arts, which is equivalent to the Oscars in the U.S., has announced the nominations for the 72nd British Academy Film Awards. Hayley Squires (I, Daniel Blake) and Will Poulter (Black Mirror: Bandersnatch) read out the shortlisted names from the British academy’s headquarters. The winners will be honored at the awards show on February 10, 2019 at the Royal Albert Hall, with Joanna Lumley hosting for the second year running.

“The Favourite” leads all films with twelve nominations, while “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “First Man,” “Roma” and “A Star is Born” all are coming up second with seven nominations apiece. “Vice” has six nominations, “BlacKkKlansman” earned five while “Cold War” and “Green Book” received four each.
