Playa Vista, Calif.-based visual effects house Digital Domain announced that Tiffani Manabat will be joining its ranks as vice president, advertising and games. Tiffani will join the team responsible for VFX for such brands as Cadillac, Lexus, Nike, Microsoft, Ubisoft, Xbox and American Airlines.
Manabat brings years of experience executive producing broadcast commercials, web content, video game trailers, music videos and live events. In her new role, she will be overseeing operations, sales and marketing and will report to Rich Flier, president of advertising and games.
“We are thrilled that Tiffani is joining us again at Digital Domain,” said Flier. “She brings a unique blend of live-action production experience, a deep understanding of complex VFX production and client relationships that are second to none.”
“The visual effects industry has changed tremendously over the last few years and it’s exciting to see how Digital Domain has used its legendary expertise and new innovations to grow with it,” said Manabat. “I love this place because it empowers our visionary artists and continues to produce breathtaking work. Digital Domain’s strengths stretch incredibly far, having been one of the original ground breaking houses in the business.”
A 13 year veteran of commercial production, Manabat rejoins Digital Domain after previously serving for three years, first as senior commercial producer, and then as executive producer.
She began her career in live-action commercial production working for companies such as Anonymous Content, VH1/MTV, HKM @Radical and Motion Theory. While at Motion Theory she expanded her production role into visual effects and post production. Most recently she worked at Caviar where she was responsible for revamping their postproduction process from editorial through VFX finishing while working closely with the director roster as well as the client and their creative teams.
