MPC announced two key U.S. promotions. Amanda Ornelas has been named executive producer for color, and former color assistant Derek Hansen has been promoted to colorist.

Ornelas brings over 11 years of industry experience to her new position and will provide strategic leadership in spearheading MPC’s color grade development operations across the country. Prior to joining MPC, she worked for Ogilvy & Mather L.A. and McCann Erickson NY. She has worked with directors Rupert Sanders and Adam Berg, as well as director of photography Linus Sandgren.

MPC LA managing director Andrew Bell said, “Amanda has proven over the years to be a highly valuable leader who has a deep commitment to expanding the color grading department. Her creative energy and passion are present in every job she works on and are appreciated by clients and colleagues alike. We’re excited for her role to expand and to experience the new ways she will continue to enhance the department.”
