Optimus Adds Tim Jacobs as Director of Sales

Optimus announced that former Protein Editorial EP/partner Tim Jacobs has joined the production and post house as director of sales. In this role Jacobs will be dedicated to all of Optimus in Chicago and Santa Monica, including production arm one at Optimus, as well as editorial, design, graphics, audio, color and finish. Optimus Sales representatives Sean Sullivan and Doug Sherin will work with Jacobs on sales efforts across the country.

“Our plan is to blanket the country from a sales perspective, and Tim is right person to help lead us there,” said Optimus president Tom Duff.

Prior to working as EP/partner at Protein Editorial, Jacobs was a producer at Filmcore in Los Angeles, where he worked with Therese Hunsberger, Optimus LA’s EP/managing director. Jacobs eventually moved on to a producer position at Whitehouse Post in Chicago. His career began on the ad agency side of the house, working with clients such Gatorade, Coors Light and Visa.

“I’ve known and admired the team at Optimus ever since I returned to Chicago from California,” said Jacobs. “I’m at a perfect point in my career with solid contacts and the experience level to speak knowledgeably about all that Optimus has to offer – most importantly, its creative talent.”
