PlushNYC, a New York-based boutique audio postproduction studio, announced that it has hired senior mixer and sound designer Scott Persson.
A veteran of the music industry, Persson began his career touring through Europe as a drummer for his former band, Edge Park, playing along side bands such as Radio Head, No Doubt and Bryan Adams. When he returned to New York, he found a home amongst some of the audio postproduction houses in the city. Most recently, Presson spent nine years with Sound Lounge.
His advertising clients have included KBS+P, DDB, DigitasLBi, Publicis Kaplan Thaler and JWT.
“I’ve been very lucky to have worked in some of the finest studios in New York City and I’m thankful to have found a new home at Plush,” said Persson.
“Scott’s passion for music and his hard working drive are going to be a wonderful addition to the PlushNYC studio,” said partner and senior mixer, James Twomey.
In addition to signing Persson to the roster, the company announced the promotion of Dana Villarreal to director of operations.
