Berkeley, Calif.-based Tippett Studio announced that it has hired Paul Grimshaw as executive producer of commercials and new media. As a former executive producer of Industrial Light and Magic’s commercial production division and VP/executive producer at The Orphanage, Grimshaw brings extensive experience in advertising and a background in both live action and animation/visual effects production. The studio plans to expand its presence in commercial visual effects.
“As a longtime fan of the studio and its work, I am thrilled to come on board, helping to expand commercials and other short form content, including games cinematics and VR,” said Grimshaw. “The talent pool here is incredible.”
Before joining as EP, Grimshaw served as freelance producer for Tippett on commercials for Advantage II (with Grey Health Group) and Cheetos Sweetos (with Goodby Silverstein & Partners).
