Glenn Kennel Joins ARRI

ARRI has hired Glenn Kennel to fill the newly created position of chief technology officer. Working from the company’s Burbank office, Kennel’s responsibilities will include overseeing digital intermediates, digital camera technologies and supporting workflows.

“At a time when production and post are tied together in a continuous workflow and film and digital imaging are merging into a single process, Glenn brings to ARRI a wealth of experience in these critically important areas,” notes Volker Bahnemann, CEO of ARRI.

Kennel started his career at Eastman Kodak in 1980 and has held a wide range of positions starting in the traditional chemical film processes and progressing through all phases of the digital intermediate and digital cinema development. He later served as director of technology and business development at Texas Instruments, DLP Cinema, and most recently, vice president/ general manager, feature film at LaserPacific.
