-

BenQ America Corp. today announced that the PV3200PT video post-production monitor — recently Technicolor Color Certified — will be showcased at the 2016 Cine Gear LA Expo, June 2-5 in Los Angeles. BenQ’s high-end PV series professional monitors target advanced cinematic and video post-production professionals. For editors and colorists that demand uncompromising color accuracy and high resolution, the PV3200PT monitor fits the bill for video editing, visual effects, color correction and management.

As the recognized authority on color and image authenticity, Technicolor is trusted amongst media and entertainment industries around the world from top Hollywood directors to animators and game developers. Technicolor Color Certified devices are tested and verified during the manufacturing process to meet strict standards for color accuracy, matching the same color gamut, white point and gamma standards used throughout Hollywood and other entertainment industries.

The PV3200PT is equipped with hardware calibration, built-in 14-bit 3D LUT and features a Delta-E value of less than or equal to 1.5 to deliver the highest color accuracy and the truest reproduction of original images. An optional software development kit is also available to allow studios or calibration software providers to be more involved in the setting of calibration customizations. The PV3200PT is BenQ’s first monitor designed specifically with video post-production engineers in mind. This wide-angle, 32-inch IPS monitor features 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixel) resolution to scrutinize images to the finest details. The PV3200PT’s color gamut covers 100% Rec.709 and 100% sRGB and includes hardware calibration support via the Palette Master Element calibration software to adjust the monitor’s color gamut, white point, color temperature and luminance.

The PV3200PT provides a Brightness Consistency feature to maintain the monitor’s display performance and ensure even brightness throughout the display. The PV3200PT also supports 24P, allowing videos to be viewed with correct timing at their native cinematic frame rates.

The PV3200PT will be on display at the 2016 Cine Gear LA Expo (booth 102B X-Rite Photo & Video), and is now available for purchase via BenQ’s website.
